MEDITATIONS
ON THE TRUE CHRISTIAN LIFE
By Glenn H. Jackson
______...."This book of the law [the Word of God] shall not depart from [always be in] your mouth, but you shall meditate
on it day and night, so that you may be careful [take heed] to do according to all that is written in it; for THEN you will make your way prosperous, and THEN you will have success".... Joshua
1:8 NASB
*____Jesus evidently walked in the light of His confession. He was what He confessed.
____It is strange we never knew until recently that faith follows in the footprints of our confession.
____Our confession builds the road over which faith hauls its mighty cargo.
____You are going to learn that you never rise above your confession.
____You will never enjoy the riches of grace until you confess them.
____You are going to
find that your confession of what He is, what He has done for you, and what you are in Him always precedes His revelation of Himself.
____Salvation follows confession.
"If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus" (Romans 10:9).
____And the same is true in receiving the Holy Spirit.
____Our healing follows our confession.
____Some people have to "hold fast to their confession" in the face of apparent defeat. They
refuse to give in to sense evidences.
____You are going to learn the danger of a dual confession - confessing one moment the absolute integrity of the Word but the next
moment confessing that He has not made it good in your case.
____Your confession is the thing that challenges the world. It is the thing that causes them to venture
in the faith life.
____Christianity is the Great Confession. It heads up in Jesus in His confession, and next in us in our bold declaration of the utter truthfulness
of the living Word.
