Have you considered what it takes to become the Bride of Christ?

By Pieter Kirstein

You will go where your heart wants to go.

That's how close you can walk with God.

Isaiah 57:15  For thus says the high and lofty One Who inhabits eternity; Whose name is Holy; "I dwell in the high and holy place, even with the one who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

He called us not to become religious, benchwarmer, church clones who walk around with a cathedral mentality. God called us to become His habitation, living temple, dwelling place and resting place as we surrender the throne of our hearts to Him.

Isaiah 66

1  Thus says the LORD, "The heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool. Where, then, is the house that you build for Me? And where is the place of My rest?

2  For all these things My hand has made, and these things came to be," says the LORD. "But to this one I will look, to him who is of a poor and contrite spirit and who trembles at My Word.

2 Corinthians 6:16 For you are a temple of the living God, exactly as God said: "I will dwell in them and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

Have you surrendered yourself to the preparatory work of the Holy Spirit to be presented to Christ as a spotless bride, because you have divorced yourself from the ungodly defilement and influences of the carnality of this world ?

James 4:4  You adulterers and adulteresses, don't you know that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Therefore, whoever desires to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

1 John 2:15  Do not love the world, nor the things that are in the world.

If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him

16  Because everything that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pretentious pride of physical life—is not from the Father, but is from the world.

17  And the world and its lust is passing away, but the one who does the will of God abides forever.

To abandon oneself to Christ is renounce the ungodly relationships with things and people that does not add value to your life.

Worship is an act of admiration towards the object of your affection. It is an outward expression of an inward affection. A man's heart  is exposed by that which he pursues.

The one who has won your heart is the one that you will worship. He is the one that will control and rule your desires. He is the one you will be passionate about. He is the one through whom your heart will be enriched because he will become your treasure.

The person to whom you have surrendered all desire shall be your conqueror.

Who is in control of your desires child of God?

Understand this: all worldly desires and fleshly pursuits must be considered threats through which the enemy of your soul operates to break or distort your devotion, pursuit and worship of God.

God's love challenges all of us to abandon ourselves to Him by placing ourselves on the Altar of Demonstrated Love, which is the taking up of one's cross

.  The cross works as an instrument of death by which the Spirit of God crucifies you to the deception of your own carnal ways, so that you might discover and be brought into His world, which is far above the corruption of a fallen world

Therefore the child of God are admonished and commanded throughout the gospel of Christ, through the cross of self-denial, to not conform to the former lusts through which Satan works to keep us in bondage to this fallen world.

The principle is this: If you want to live the higher life with God in the Spirit then you must renounce and abstain from worldly pursuits that causes you to be dominated by the lower, earthly and fleshly life.

These things produces spiritual death and has no eternal value and through the pursuit of these things we accomplish nothing.

Pursuing the kingdom of God, which is of eternal value, is an inward matter of the heart because the King of this inward kingdom wants to capture and conquer and rule your heart, which He told me is God's deepest desire.

He already demonstrated His devotion and love toward us when He sacrificed himself on the altar of His passion.

He denied himself unto the death of self because He desires intimacy with us. True love is demonstrated by what we are willing to sacrifice to be intimate with the object of our affection.

The love of God liberates the heart of man through self-denial because there is no worldly desire in His love. His love cannot be satisfied by the things of this world. His love can only be satisfied by being with you because to Him you are His world.

Revelation 19:7  Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.

8  And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteous acts of saints. (THE OBEDIENCE OF THE BRIDE)

9  And he said unto me, Write, Blessed are they who are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he said unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

The term "BRIDE SHIP" is used by the Spirit because those who honors His covenant embraces the principle of abandonment to become one with God in vision, desire and purpose.

Those that becomes the bride of Christ gives themselves to Him in love and obedience unto the death of self.

Ephesians 5:25  Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

27  That He might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

28  So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loves his wife loves himself.

29  For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord the church:

30  For we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones.

31  For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

32  This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

The bride are they who multiply by birthing and bringing forth God's kingdom agenda and purpose within the earth.

Your life is a seed given to you by God and when you choose to answer the upward call of the Father to be brought into agreement with His ways through the power and the ministry of the cross through self-denial and when you become obedient to the call of God and what He desires to do with your life then that obedience will take you to the end of yourself.

The ways of God are not the ways of man. His plans and agenda are designed to impact eternity, the lives of others and for Him to be glorified. His plans are intended for your eternal good, to be honored by the Father and unto great reward.

Jesus revealed the secret to SPIRITUAL FRUITFULNESS through the law of multiplication and illustrated glorified sonship within himself and showed us the way to the throne when He declared in John 12:23  And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.

24  Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it abides alone: but if it dies, it brings forth much fruit.

25  He that loves his life shall lose it; and he that hates his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

26  If any man serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there shall also My servant be: if any man serves Me, him will My Father honor.

God Almighty the great Elohim Yahweh spoke to me with a voice of fire in 2011 out of eternity and said the following about a surrendered life;  "there are no adequate words that can articulate the majestic honor and glory that permeates a life sacrificed so that the God of wonders might be glorified.

It has eternal consequence that only eternity will tell" yet most people forfeit this great and glorious reward because most consider, value and esteem temporary earthly pleasure and their own agendas more important as in the case of Esau in Hebrews 12:14  Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

 15  Looking diligently lest any man fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

16  Lest there be any immoral, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright.

17  For you know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

The Holy Spirit declared to me that the bride are those who allows Him to "VEIL" them in His holiness. This can only happen through full consecration and full surrender.

The bride of Isaiah 53

There are people in this generation whom God has brought through the pattern that we find within the life of His Son.

Now we read in Isaiah 53 the following:

He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from Him; He was despised, and we esteemed Him not.

Those that shall be counted worthy to reign on the seat of the overcomer have walked a very similar pathway.

The bride of Christ were despised and rejected by many, even their family members at times. They too were men and women of great sorrow and acquainted with grief and through many trials and afflictions the world esteemed them not. Many even wrongfully judged them and considered these devoted ones stricken by God. As with Jesus they were brought as a lamb to the slaughter, to the very end of themselves. Those who are considered "great" in the kingdom are the ones who became the servants of His love.

Luke 22:25  And He said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors.

26  But you shall not be so: #but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that does serve.

27  For who is greater, he that sits at table, or he that serves? is not he that sits at table? but I am among you as he that serves.

28  You are they who have continued with Me in My trials.

29  And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as My Father has appointed unto Me; (RULERSHIP IS THE PORTION OF THE BRIDE WHO SHALL SIT WITH HIM AT HIS TABLE IN HIS KINGDOM)

30  That you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

And so according to Isaiah 53:12 God the Father will divide the bridal sons and daughters a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong; because their souls have been poured out through a personal cross unto the point of death of the self life, so they might take up the reigns of government to administer His will throughout the earth.

These have willingly denied themselves taken up the cross to follow Christ all the way in faithfulness unto obedience to the point where they have allowed themselves to be made one with Him.

A death so deep that they have come to the end of themselves and their own ways so that in Him they might become love and serve their generation through the nature of His love.

These are the friends of Christ spoken of in John 15:10  If you keep My commandments, you shall abide in My love; even as I have kept My Father's commandments, and abide in His love.

11  These things have I spoken unto you, that My joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

12  This is My commandment, That you love one another, as I have loved you.

13  Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

14  You are My friends, if you do whatsoever I command you.

Ephesians 5:

 1  Be you therefore followers of God, as dear children;

2  And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling fragrance.

To place ourselves on the altar of demonstrated love as a living sacrifice is our reasonable service.

Romans 12:

1  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

These love slaves have been impregnated with destiny. They carry the children of the final harvest within their Spiritual Wombs.

In them the proclaimed victory is fulfilled that we read about in Revelation 12 - And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives to the death.

Death to self is the name of the pathway to the throne, yes into the place of manifested rulership and sonship. God's kingdom is a ruling kingdom. It's not for babes or toddlers but for those who have been brought to maturity. Just as we won't dare to put a baby or child that's not of age in a place of responsibility within a family business will God in His sovereignty and great wisdom allow unruly, undisciplined and immature children to operate in the authority of a functioning heir.

Hebrews 12 clearly speaks of these facts.

God's authority and power comes at a great cost. When we consider the way Jesus had to walk and the price He had to pay do we think that the rest of the upcoming sons shall be excluded?

Consider the words of Christ given to His people through J Leland Earls;

Now consider the mount on which Jesus taught His disciples, and that which is revealed in what is commonly called the 'Sermon on the Mount.’ Were there not multitudes which came to hear that which Jesus spoke?

And were not the disciples taken apart and instructed in that which the multitudes were not ready to hear?

I say to you, I am calling to myself a people who will sit at my feet and hear my words—who will be instructed in the truths of my kingdom and my righteousness.

That which is revealed in the Sermon on the Mount is what I require of those who would enter my heavenly kingdom. For was it not said, ‘You shall be perfect as your heavenly father is perfect?’ (Matt. 5:48)

Will I not do a perfecting work in those who are to be received of me in my own realm?

For I say, except your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the nominal Christian of today, you shall not enter my heavenly kingdom.

My kingdom is not for babes and toddlers but for those who have been brought to maturity.

For my kingdom is a ruling kingdom, and only those qualified to take a responsibility in my kingdom shall be admitted thereto.

Others, though saved, will be barred until they have come into that minimum perfection which I require.

(He's referring to the difference between the Kingdom of Heaven realm called Paradise which surrounds the Kingdom of God realm called Mount Zion  - see Psalm 15 and Psalm 24)

I say to you, study carefully the precepts of the kingdom as revealed in the Sermon on the Mount, for therein is the pattern of righteousness which I require. It is for those who are willing to be my disciples.

Others will hear the words and know the outer husk thereof, but only those fully instructed into my kingdom by my Spirit shall reap the benefits of this righteousness of the heart. Therefore hear my word my people!

Will you be among those I am drawing to my mount?

And will you sit at my feet day by day and let me teach you my ways? (end of quote)

When we look further into the mystery of becoming a bridal son and daughter of God we understand that we are the weaker partner totally dependent on the grace and the strength of our Bridegroom King.

The Holy Spirit uses prophetic terms, symbolism and allegories to explain God's relationship with His people. We enter into the covenant of marriage with our God because He calls us to become one with Him in vision, desire and Kingdom purpose but when we are stiff-necked, willful, prideful and stubborn and when we are wise in our own eyes then we fall into spiritual adultery like a harlotrous woman.

We see God's relationship with us explained in the setting of a marriage in the following scripture.

Jeremiah 3

1  They say, If a man puts away his wife, and she goes from him, and becomes another man's, may he return unto her again? shall not that land be greatly polluted? but you have played the harlot with many lovers; yet return again to Me, says the LORD.

2  Lift up your eyes unto the high places, and see where you have not been lain with. In the ways have you sat for them, as the Arabian in the wilderness; and you have polluted the land with your harlotries and with your wickedness.

3  Therefore the showers have been withheld, and there has been no latter rain; and you had a harlot's forehead, you refused to be ashamed.

4  Will you not from this time cry unto Me, My father, you are the guide of My youth?

5  Will He reserve his anger forever? will He keep it to the end? Behold, you have spoken and done all the evil things that you could.

6  The LORD said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Have you seen that which backsliding Israel has done? she has gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there has played the harlot.

7  And I said after she had done all these things, Turn you unto Me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it.

8  And I saw, when for all the causes for which backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.

9  And it came to pass through the lightness of her harlotry, that she defiled the land, and committed adultery with stones and with trees.

10  And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah has not turned unto Me with her whole heart, but in pretense, says the LORD.

11  And the LORD said unto me, The backsliding Israel has justified herself more than treacherous Judah.

12  Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, you backsliding Israel, says the LORD; and I will not cause My anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, says the LORD, and I will not keep anger forever.

13  Only acknowledge your iniquity, that you have transgressed against the LORD your God, and have scattered your favors to the strangers under every green tree, and you have not obeyed My voice, says the LORD.

14  Turn, O backsliding children, says the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one from a city, and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion:

15  And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

16  And it shall come to pass, when you are multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, says the LORD, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the LORD: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more.

17  At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil hearts.

18  In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.

19  But I said, How shall I put you among the children, and give you a pleasant land, a beautiful heritage of the hosts of nations? and I said, You shall call Me, My father; and shall not turn away from Me.

20  Surely as a wife treacherously departs from her husband, so have you dealt treacherously with Me, O house of Israel, says the LORD.

As with Adam and Eve, a type and a shadow of Christ and His bride, Jesus was put to sleep on the cross. The Holy Spirit brings the bride through the ministry of the cross unto the death of self and He reaches into the side of the last Adam to bring her forth through the sanctification and the washing of the water through the word into oneness with God.

When the spleen of Christ was pierced, blood and water gushed forth.

By the washing of the water through her obedience to the word of God the Holy Spirit brings her into the redemption of the blood through true repentance, everything in her that did not originate from God becomes crucified.

She does not, like many, trample the blood of the Son of God underfoot by abusing His grace. She fears God by walking away from evil. She has renounced the secret sins of the flesh and through the circumcision of her heart only walks in the Spirit of God.

The bride that belongs to the Lord allows the following scripture to be fulfilled in themselves.

Galatians 5:24  And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

He died for me because He lives for me. To Him I am His world and so i learn the sacrifice and the price of love as I willfully follow Him to the end of myself and my old ways in the way of the cross.

Because I've learned and discovered that this wonderful, beautiful and most glorious God is the climax of this thing called life and the ultimate gift and treasure to be enjoyed and discovered throughout eternity.

When I consider the errors of my sinful, stubborn, rebellious and destructive ways after the order of the fallen Adam's nature that works in me and the utter disillusionment and discontentment of earthly lustful pursuits and I compare these to the wonder of who God is and His ways, then I gladly declare with the Apostle Paul in Philippians 3:7  But whatever things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.

8  But no, rather, I also count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them [to be] dung, so that I may win Christ

9  and be found in Him; not having my own righteousness, which is of the Law, but through [the] faith of Christ, the righteousness of God by faith,

 10  that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable to His death;

11  if by any means I might attain to the resurrection of the dead.

12  Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect, but I am pressing on, if I may lay hold of that for which I also was taken hold of by Christ Jesus.

13  My brothers, I do not count myself to have taken possession, but one [thing I do], forgetting the things behind and reaching forward to the things before,

14  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

He died for me so I might learn to die to myself and live for Him. This is the beauty of covenant through demonstrated love.

this is so beautiful and such a testimony to the Lord's healing power and sanctification through our suffering. Much of my walk with Christ is similar to yours.
