If God is for me . . . who can be against me?

Jesus felt such overwhelming anxiety and grief . . .

By Hope for the Broken Hearted

When Jesus was in the Garden of Gethsemane, He was so heavily burdened and felt such overwhelming anxiety and grief He sweated drops of blood. Jesus knew what was coming and asked His Father if it was possible, if there was another way, to please let this burden pass from Him.

I believe one of the reasons we are made aware of that moment was to know we have a Savior who understands the things we feel when we face overwhelming burdens and pain. The Lord has compassion for us and the trials we go through.

Jesus also shows us, by example, how to face the dark nights of the soul that we all will face at some point. Jesus went to His Father, prayed, and made His petitions known. He left things in His Father's hands and prayed for God's will to be done, not His own.

When God didn't deliver Jesus, He rose to face all that was in front of Him, empowered with God's grace and strength to see Him through. If you are facing something that seems too much to bear, remember Jesus has walked the path before you. He is with you, and you are empowered with the same power that raised Christ from the grave!

I needed to hear this today. Its been sooo very difficult for a long time honestly asked God if I was the toxic one and just didn't realize it so I could repent

this is so beautiful and such a testimony to the Lord's healing power and sanctification through our suffering. Much of my walk with Christ is similar to yours.
