The Crown is Worth the Cost!

By Pieter Kirstein

This is a statement made to me by Jesus in 2009 while I was on the phone with a friend.

During those 2 years of 2009 and 2010 I was engaged with the Lord in a massive battle against Beelzebub who is a general in Satan's army. He is the lord of the flies which means he is the fallen ruling prince over all the spirits that can fly.

God had me pray and fast constantly throughout those 2 years and opened the pit of hell underneath me to reveal some things about the underworld.

Ephesians 6:12  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in heavenly places.

We are at war and most are complacent and living lives of complacent compromise, with divided hearts that think we somehow have a right to be still be in control of our lives. If you have not submitted and given your entire will over to Christ, then your will is your idol  -  1 Corinthians 6:9-11,19-20

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?

Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Those who like to stay in control of their lives are enemies of the cross of Christ. Can we claim that Christ is our King when we refuse to bow our lives in full surrender? Philippians 3:18-21. Philippians 2, Hebrews 12, James 4.

God's disciples all laid themselves down and follows the Master in obedience in the way of the cross  and we only live in agreement with Heaven's agenda because we understand that we now belong to another, bought and paid for His holy precious blood.

James 4:4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

John 15:18-19 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers.

For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness?

And what communion has light with darkness?

And what accord has Christ with Belial?

Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever?

And what agreement has the temple of God with idols?

For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.”

Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.” “I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the Lord Almighty.”

The Spirit of God came upon me in a mighty way when He led me to write about the great deception throughout the world of Christianity.

Many people lay claim to things and make statements through empty religious faith about realities within the life of the believer that must be wrought out first by the Spirit within the life of God's true disciples through much pain and suffering as we submit ourselves to the discipline of the Father.

1 Corinthians 4:20 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.

 2 Timothy 3:1-5,7,9

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power.

And from such people turn away!

always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was.

The discipline of God and the Father's pruning is all part of the life of the disciple in the way of the cross to become a faithful witness of the gospel of Jesus Christ as a truthful overcomer because if what you speak is not a reality in your life to which you can testify then you are a false witness.

Anyone can speak Christianese to sound religious and holy, but a virtues life is that which carries weight and merit with God.

We are called to finish the race of the upward call of God in Christ in the way of sacrifice, which is the way of the cross. The power of and glory God is found in the way of the cross, and the pathway into the glory and the throne of the overcomer is called "DEATH TO SELF" which is the road less traveled.

So many people talk about the salvation of the cross yet so few truly experience the sacrifice and the sufferings of the cross because it's designed by God to bring you to the end of your fleshly lustful and sinful ways which really binds you to yourself and this fallen world.

The cross is an instrument that works death into the willing disciple by which he is brought into the resurrection power and life of a holy God. His life is a much higher kind of life, far above the fallen nature and ways of the natural man.

God works a deep foundational work in those who desire to be brought into the life and the order of Christ.

Those who allow themselves to be crucified by His Spirit are the ones that receive the life of manifest sonship. If we neglect to take up our own cross and follow Christ in the way of the cross, which is where we sacrifice everything which interferes with the heavenly calling, we shall lose the crown of the overcomer.

For if we hold on to the lower life of the flesh and it's carnal ways and lustful desires, we cannot be brought into the glory of the overcomer.

He warned us in Matthew 10:33  But whoever shall deny Me before men, him will I also deny before My Father which is in heaven.

 34  Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

 35  For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

 36  And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

 37  He that loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of me: and he that loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of me.

 38  And he that takes not his cross, and follows after Me, is not worthy of Me.

 39  He that finds his life shall lose it: and he that loses his life for my sake shall find it.

This is why we read these 3 things of the overcomers in Revelation 12:11  And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives to the death.

To not love your life unto death means that you follow Christ on the road of the cross in obedience unto the death of self as you embrace the heavenly calling into the glory of manifested sonship because we are called to walk as Jesus walked.

The old man with all of it's earthly desires and fleshly ways is contrary to God and must therefore be dealt with by allowing oneself to be crucified by the Spirit with Christ.

This is a SPIRITUAL WORK, MINISTRY AND CRUCIFIXION, wrought into us by the Spirit of burning in the way of the cross.

We are not just crucified by religious theories which produces no power.

For He himself has said, after He first had to take up His cross in obedience  unto the death of self through demonstrated faith, hope and His love of the Father in Revelation 3:21  To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with Me in My throne, even as I also overcame, and sat down with My Father in His throne.

Christ showed us the way into the glory of the overcomer and nobody can sidestep the cross and think that they will be allowed to lay claim to such honor.

Philippians 2:5  Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

 6  Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

 7  But made himself of no reputation, and took on him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

 8  And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient to death, even the death of the cross.

 9  Why God also has highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

 10  That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

 11  And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Each child of God have to face the personal challenge, AFTER THAT THEY'VE BEEN SAVED THROUGH THE CROSS OF JESUS into the level of salvation, to answer the upward call of the Father to be placed with Jesus in the throne of the overcomer because His cross saves you from sin whereas your cross must deliver you from sin to make you an overcomer and to empower you to one day give truthful testimony to the victory that comes through the sacrifice of a personal cross.

This is why the Lord never challenged His disciples to take up His cross but their own personal cross.

Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto His disciples, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

Notice He did not say that those who want to be saved must follow Him, because you are not saved through your cross but through His cross.

He said those who want to follow Him as true disciples through a life of servanthood and sacrifice to be stripped of their own ways so they might discover His life and be brought into an overcoming experience.

This can clearly be seen through the challenge of Christ to James and John in Mark 10 after they were already saved because there's a price that must be paid to become a co-heir with the King of glory and only those who share in His sufferings shall be counted worthy to reign with Him. To be brought to the end of ourselves causes suffering until the cross has done it's work in us. The death of the cross liberates the crucified disciple into the glory of the life of Christ as one who is led by His Spirit and not by the lusts and dictates of his fallen nature any longer.

Mark 10: 35  And James and John, the sons of Zebedee, come unto him, saying, Teacher, we would that you should do for us whatsoever we shall desire.

 36  And he said unto them, What would you that I should do for you?

 37  They said unto him, Grant unto us that we may sit, one on your right hand, and the other on your left hand, in your glory.

 38  But Jesus said unto them, You know not what you ask: can you drink of the cup that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?

 39  And they said unto him, We can. And Jesus said unto them, You shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized shall you be baptized:

 40  But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared.

Romans 8:14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

 15  For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, by which we cry, Abba, Father.

 16  The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

 17  And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, so that we may be also glorified together.

The Spirit leads the disciple through a personal wilderness of trying circumstances, completely contrary to how the flesh desires things to be, until we have been completely emptied out so we might be filled with His fullness.

Jesus said to me one day, while I was lusting after a material thing - "YOU ARE CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST WHEN YOU ARE NO LONGER INFLUENCED BY THE WORLD AROUND YOU”

God gave me the understanding of 2 Corinthians 5 verses 15 - 17, when He and stood in front of me, during worship one day in the privacy of my room.

"Only those who follow Me through the cross can follow Me through the tomb through a glorious resurrection into the reality and manifestation of the NEW CREATION. Yes in Me and through Me everything does become new, but first you must be willing to sacrifice and let go of the old order of the flesh."

God said to me, "if you truly desire to become a new creation then first allow Me to destroy your old foundation. Allow Me to work. If you allow Me to penetrate your depths then you'll find that I have become your sure foundation.”

This is exactly what is said in Ephesians 4:17  This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you no longer walk as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

 18  Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

 19  Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto licentiousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

 20  But you have not so learned Christ;

 21  If so be that you have heard Him, and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus:

 22  That you put off concerning the former way of life the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

 23  And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

 24  And that you put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Therefore we are commanded in Philippians 2:12  Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

 13  For it is God who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.

Titus 2:11  For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,

 12  Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live sensibly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

 13  Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;

 14  Who gave himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for His own, zealous of good works.

 15  These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise you.

He is the ULTIMATE REWARD waiting to be poured forth into those who have been emptied of themselves. His deepest desire is to capture our hearts and it comes at a price.
