The Sermon on the Mount - part 2
Matt 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
one of my favorite scriptures in the word of God because it denotes our desperate need to be well fed every day from the bounty of His goodness. Jesus is the bread of life and nothing can satisfy the human heart as He.
He is the living bread that came down from heaven that gives food and spiritual nourishment to His needy people. God created man to be in need of Him because of His great love
He loves to pour himself into a hungry, thirsty heart but for us to experience this hunger we must cry out to Him to create it within us as we read in Phil 2:12
Why, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God which works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.
We must cry out to the Holy Spirit to super-naturally empower us to draw closer to God every day because of the many distractions around us and because of our divided corrupted hearts. We must cry out
because of our deep desperate need of His loving grace to invade and heal our broken lives and our scatter-brains because He is always willing to help those who realize their intense need of His divine intervention. We cannot pursue God in the strength of
the flesh because we will always fall into frustration and disappointment.
Call upon the passion of the Holy Spirit
to fill your needy soul, call upon His holy fire to burn up the dross and the impurities within your heart and He will do it.
Declare your great need of Him and He will meet you right where you are without finding fault or condemnation. The Lord is compassionate and gracious and loves to show himself strong when we acknowledge our desperate need of Him and if you find
that you are not desperate enough for Him then ask Him to create desperation in you.
This is one of the things that
I love about God. He loves openness and honesty. If you are lacking in anything then He will create it within you, just humble yourself before Him and He will respond. Never be self-sufficient but choose to be a needy person before Him.
This thing between us and God starts with humility and it ends with humility. It is not about your performance in your own strivings but it is about the empowerment of the Holy Spirit in your life to do all things according to
the righteousness of Christ.
Also you need to realize that to walk with God means to make sacrifices. The more He is
allowed to clean up your life, the more room He will have to move. It is as simple as that. Surrender is the divine golden key to joyful bliss, enjoyment and true freedom in the Holy Ghost. Ask the Lord today to create a deep hunger and a thirst for righteousness
within your heart because He will do it.
The mind of the flesh is a great hindrance and distraction to spiritual things
and God by His indwelling Holy Spirit is the only one who has the power to enable us to pursue Him with great reverence. Remember that you cannot hunger and thirst after righteousness when you have any leanings toward the worldly and fleshly life because these
things will always be a distraction and obstacle in pursuing the life in the Spirit.
A spiritual believer is a person that is pre-occupied with things that pertains
to life and godliness, it is a person who lives in agreement with the ways of God, it is a person who's mind is stayed on Him because he trusts in Him. A spiritual person is someone who has become the habitation of God. He is possessed and driven by the love
of the Father and his only desire is to please the Lord.
The thankfulness of his surrendered heart for what the Lord
has done in providing his redemption echoes through eternity by the way in which he lives. Such a one lives a life in continual pursuit of God and he has his eyes fixed upon Jesus the Author and the Finisher of his faith.
I love what the Lord said to me one day in speaking of maturity; An eagle cannot be bound by the limitations of earth because it was created to soar on the winds of the heavens.
Fleshly Christians live like chickens, bound and confined to the sphere of fleshly indulgence whereas those brought to maturity are authorized by the Father to spread their wings to be taken into the heights of the heavens.
These have undergone the transformation process of a life lived in pursuit of God. They have been redeemed and freed from the chicken pen (life in the flesh) to be brought forth as beautiful eagles (sons
of God) These enjoy the freedom of the heavens as they spread their wings daily to be taken up by the winds of His Spirit. Christians must stop qackling like chickens when God has ordained them to fly with the eagles. Maturity in Christ is to be freed from
the influence and the desires if this world and to be satisfied by the life and the love of the Spirit.
Remember this principle, junk in, junk out. You will grow on
what you feed on. Blessed are they who do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled with the fullness of Him.
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Mercy according to the dictionary means leniency and compassion shown toward offenders by a person
or agency charged with administering justice. This is an area greatly exploited by Satan and they are forever setting traps through people by causing them to bring offenses, hurt and abuse to our lives. It is of utmost importance to choose to be a person that
quickly forgives because an arrow of offense can penetrate the heart in a deep way and when embraced, it will spread its poison of bitterness to bring defilement.
Demons love to live and find entry in such environments and forgiveness through the love of God is always the best anti-dote. I mean look at Jesus as the perfect example always as you read through and study the gospels, He walked
daily amongst many God-haters and instruments of offense but all their offenses shot at Him rolled of of Him like water from a ducks feathers.
I see this as allowing the oil of the Holy Spirit to protect us as we allow Him to shield us in the love of God. Remember what is written in 1Cor 13:5 love doesn't behave itself inappropriately, doesn't seek its own way, is not
provoked, takes no account of evil; 6 doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
The love of God is our greatest weapon against the enemy. We must leave the justice part to God for He is the righteous Judge and vengeance always belongs to Him. He is a faithful Vindicator of His people and on behalf of those who allow Him to
battle on their behalf and not take on things in the flesh. It is so easy for the flesh to get offended and here again our maturity is tested.
A mature merciful heart is always quick to forgive because it has been trained and groomed in the love of God. Jesus surrounded by His enemies when He hung on that dreadful cross made a decision to forgive by saying, Father forgive
them for they know not what they do. He as the loving merciful Savior knew that His struggle was not against flesh and blood but against the forces of darkness that kept the people bound from responding to His love.
In His great love He chose to look past their shortcomings, their deceptions and their faults and He acknowledged their need for forgiveness in the presence of His Father. He knew that the fallen nature of man operates contrary
to the ways of God and He was on a love mission to demonstrate His love through the sacrifice of himself.
to see the love of God through a demonstration and not by the mere utterance of words. Offense comes when we yield to the flesh. It is overcome when we resist it by the power of the love of God.
As is written, Rom 12:17 Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men. 18 If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men.
19 Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to Gods wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. 20 Therefore If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty,
give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head. 21 Don't be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
In Matthew 18 we learn an important lesson on forgiveness by choosing to be merciful children of God. I believe many people are in hell today because of unforgiveness. Many times, as in my own life, these wounds and hurts are so deep that it can
take a long time to heal, especially when your heart was ripped to shreds through many years of severe abuse.
That is why earlier in this teaching I said that repentance
and restoration is a journey with God into the very foundation of your life. He patiently, gently and very lovingly works with you through every broken area of your life as He ministers His healing and restoration to you as the Lord said to me one day, what
people break and destroy, I heal and restore.
You see through some form of abuse the enemy causes a deep, many times
a severe wound, in our fragile hearts. Only God knows the extent of the damage and we need to trust Him because He loves us and is the Great Restorer of broken lives.
These deep offenses and places of pain are many times the root of our anger. This is why when we feel pressured or threatened we tend to become angry because we are responding to a hurt within us that reminds us of past abuses.
Offense causes a wound, a wound causes pain and pain causes anger and can turn into bitterness, resentment and hatred that
can even result in murder when the wound is not treated. We can choose to hold on to these things and live in the torment of it, or we can choose to confess and release it to God. Bitterness becomes a cesspool of death, torment and destruction because it is
poised to the soul.
We were created to walk in the freedom of love and we were created to respond to love. Inner healing
starts with the choice to forgive, even when we don't feel like doing it and to release those through whom the offense have come. Hatred is the absence of love. I mean just think about all the things that God chooses to forgive you of because this reality
will make it easier to forgive your enemies. God is love and never hold grudges against anyone.
The scripture reads
Matt 18:15 If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother. 16 But if he doesn't listen, take one or two more with you, that at the mouth
of two or three witnesses every word may be established. 17 If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector. 18 Most certainly I tell you, whatever things
you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever things you release on earth will have been released in heaven. 19 Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for
them by my Father who is in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in their midst. 21 Then Peter came and said to him, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Until seven times?
22 Jesus said to him, "I don't tell you until seven times, but, until seventy times seven.
23 Therefore the
Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king, who wanted to reconcile accounts with his servants. 24 When he had begun to reconcile, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents. 25 But because he couldn't pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, with
his wife, his children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. 26 The servant therefore fell down and kneeled before him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will repay you all! 27 The lord of that servant, being moved with compassion, released
him, and forgave him the debt. 28 But that servant went out, and found one of his fellow servants, who owed him one hundred denarii, and he grabbed him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me what you owe! 29
So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will repay you! 30 He would not, but went and cast him into prison, until he should pay back that which was due.
31 So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were exceedingly sorry, and came and told to their lord all that was done. 32 Then his lord called him in, and said to him,
You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt, because you begged me. 33 Shouldn't you also have had mercy on your fellow servant, even as I had mercy on you? 34 His lord was angry, and delivered him to the tormentors, until he should pay all that was due
to him. 35 So my heavenly Father will also do to you, if you don’t each forgive your brother from your hearts for his misdeeds.
The certain king to whom Jesus was referring to in this parable is God, the Righteous Judge of all men. Many times we do exactly what the unmerciful servant did in this story. We so eagerly want the Lords mercy and forgiveness for all of our many
offenses against the will of God but we neglect to exercise that same mercy and forgiveness toward those who have sinned against us.
Think about this for a moment beloved of God; where will we find ourselves if God chooses to not forgive us and to turn and condemn us for all of our sins and wrongdoings?
So be quick to forgive and to renounce all offenses because in doing so you will guard your heart through the love of God and live in the freedom of His mercy. Offense are bound to come but the key of
victory is found in how we choose to respond to them.
Prov 4:23 Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is
the wellspring of life.
Another side of a merciful heart is not just mercy towards men but also mercy towards God.
We read Hos 6:3 Let us acknowledge Yahweh. Let us press on to know Yahweh. As
surely as the sun rises, Yahweh will appear. He will come to us like the rain, like the spring rain that waters the earth. 4 Ephraim, what shall I do to you? Judah,
what shall I do to you? For your love is like a morning cloud, and like the dew that disappears early. 5 Therefore I have cut them to pieces with the prophets; I killed them with the words of my mouth. Your judgments are like a flash of lightning. 6 For I desire mercy, and not sacrifice;
and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.
This revelation blew me away when the Holy Spirit showed this to me. God Almighty desires mercy from His
people and not their futile, shallow, religious, performance-based sacrifices. It does not matter to God how great your sacrifices are because if your heart is not in them then it means nothing and are empty and ritualistic practices.
The mercy that He talks about is loving kindness towards Him as our God. He wants us to love Him with a pure heart, free from all idolatry. He deserves first place in the hearts
of those who call on His name, He deserves our full surrender as His eternal love-slaves and He deserves our true, sincere, heart-felt worship by walking in obedience before Him through the power of a surrendered, sanctified heart.
This kind of mercy can only be imparted to us by the Holy Spirit as we humbly acknowledge our intense need before Him and as we cry out to Him to make His mercy a reality within
our hearts. The Lord our God is the most intense, sincere and intimate lover and His desire is to find a resting place within His peoples hearts. He is a merciful loving Savior who deserves loving kindness in return for the great redemptive sacrifice which
He has wrought on the cross when He died for the sins of the world. May the tender mercy of the Holy Spirit find resting place within your heart as you live a life in pursuit of God.
The mercy of God operating within His nature and kingdom has the power to subdue and conquer all enemies.
Matt 5:8 Blessed are the pure
in heart: for they shall see God.
The key to obtaining "A CLEAR SPIRITUAL REVELATION OF GOD" is a pure heart which only He can work in us
- Ezekiel 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I
will give you a heart of flesh.
Jesus declared in Luke 17:26 As it happened in the days of Noah, even so will it be also in the days of the Son of Man. In Gen 6:5 we
read about the condition of the hearts of men at that time, And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
2Tim 3:1 But know this, that in the last days, grievous times will come. 2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 without natural affection,
unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, no lovers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; 5 holding a form of godliness, but having denied its power. Turn away from these, also.
It is written in Jer 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? 10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man
according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
Ps 44:20 If we have forgotten the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god; 21
Shall not God search this out? for He knows the secrets of the heart.
If you desire to be a person with a pure heart then you need to ask the Lord to expose your heart
and bring it into agreement with His heart because we can only see Him clearly through the eyes of the Holy Spirit and for this to happen we must allow Him to invade our hearts with His holiness. All that is of this world and all of its influence must be purged
from your heart through a complete surrender.
If we expect any revelation of God apart from holiness we will fall into deception and have a
mixture. We need to remember that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we desire to be one with Him then all that is contrary to Him must be exposed and expelled from our hearts through a renewal and an invasion of His light and truth. How can
a blind person perceive light unless his eyes are opened? Only the Lord has the power to remove our spiritual blindness and give us a clear revelation of Himself.
Those that are pure in heart are the kingdom-dwellers who have submitted themselves to the cleansing process and the refining fires of the Lords gospel. The eyes of their understanding have been opened by the Lord and they have
moved beyond the veil and the influence of the fleshly realm.
They have allowed the Spirit of grace to purify their
lives of all worldly defilement and their hearts are become the eternal habitation of a Holy God to whom they wholly belong. By allowing an invasion of His truth, Satan has been cast out of their lives. The god of this world has nothing in them because they
shine with the radiance and the glory of the God who has conquered all the darkness within them.
In their total surrender
to God, the prince of the power of the air has been dethroned against their lives and they are seated and reigning with Christ. The ones whose hearts are purified by God lives in a world of light and the darkness has no power over them. They find no satisfaction
in worldly things because the Lord has become their only interest. As His surrendered bride she only has eyes for Him. The eyes of her heart are sanctified by His truth and are consecrated by the power of His love. She beholds Him because her focus is on Him
in her continual pursuit of Him.
How many people who call themselves Christian have ever really received a clear,
pure and holy revelation of God in the Person of Jesus Christ? Jesus declared to His disciples in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through Me. 7 If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also. From
now on, you know Him, and have seen Him. 8 Philip said to Him, Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.9 Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you such a long time, and do you not know Me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father. How
do you say, Show us the Father?
The mystery of the Father was hidden from me until I discovered, by revelation of the Spirit, who Jesus was. Then I realized that the
only way to know the Father was to get a clear revelation of who Jesus is because Jesus is the express image of the invisible God.
When you yield yourself to God and allow the Holy Spirit to make the finished work
of Christ a reality in your life by conforming you to it then you shall be brought to the place where you shall see God.
heart will be circumcised because the fleshly veil that separated you from Him will be removed. You cannot see God when you hold on to the corruption of the world. You cannot see God, who is spirit, when you walk around in the darkness of the flesh by conforming
yourself to the ways of the flesh because the flesh is a blinding power.
I came to the Lord had a completely distorted and corrupted view of God because of all the abuse that I experienced throughout my life.
Lord took me in and started to educate me. I had many wrong thought-patterns and strongholds which had to be dismantled and replaced by the power of His revealed truth.
mind was completely corrupted and controlled by satanic programming and deception. I had a scatter-brain that was all over the place and I experienced mind-rushes as if there was a highway within my brain.
I had no concept of peace or truth and my heart was in total bondage and inhabited by many demons and dark forces because of the destructive life I once lived.
My emotions were in total disarray which obviously influenced the way I was thinking and I had many walls raised up inside that had to come down and my judgment of God was severily
affected because of these things.
There was a lot of work to be done to restore me as a person and great inner healing
that I needed to go through and only God through His Son, by the power of His Holy Spirit could do such a divine work within such a broken person.
He is truly the Great Restorer of broken, shattered and tattered lives. The Lord took me on a long, painful but wonderful journey through which He started to reveal Himself to me. When the Spirit of the Lord makes such a statement
that only the pure in heart will see God, then it is clear, through that statement that there is a call to holiness and part of holiness is wholeness.
Years ago He showed me that we are like a telescope that was severily abused and broken by the world. This telescope has got 3 lenses body, soul and spirit.
Jesus is the bright and morning star and we look at the stars through a telescope. In order for us to get clear vision and revelation from Him and of Him we need to go through a process of restoration.
As we yield our lives to His influence and His work, the Lord lovingly restores our broken telescopes. Then as we look to Him our vision of Him will be clear. You cannot study Gods word without being empowered by the Holy Spirit because then you only fill
yourself with head knowledge; He reveals who He is through intimate relationship.
7. Matt 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers:
for they shall be called the children of God.
Peacekeepers walk in the fear of man whereas peacemakers are the sons of God that walks in the fear of God. If you want peace with God then ask the Lord to bring your life
into agreement with His ways. There is a false peace which the fear of man produces because many times people are afraid to stand up for righteousness sake.
The kingdom peacemakers make peace with God by becoming subject to the King of kings. His kingdom is righteousness, joy and peace in the Holy Ghost. He teaches and instructs you in that which is right in the sight of God, you
joyfully embrace it and His peace reigns in your heart.
Isa 9:7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall
be no end, on the throne of David, and on his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from now on even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
We are in a time wherein the righteous Judge of all will confront every person in His house with His revealed will and challenge them to stand up for what is right. All hypocrites will be exposed who are too scared to speak the
truth because they are peacekeepers and not peacemakers. Isa 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You: because he trusts in You. God will have a righteous nation that keeps the truth.
Many there are that spurn and mock the counsels of the Lord and of them it is true in Proverbs 1:20 Wisdom is crying out in the street; her voice is loud in the open places; 21
Her words are sounding in the meeting-places, and in the doorways of the town: 22 How long, you simple ones, will foolish things be dear to you? and pride a delight to the haters of authority?
long will the foolish go on hating knowledge? 23 Be turned again by my sharp words: see, I will send the flow of my spirit on you, and make my words clear to you. 24 Because your ears were shut to my voice; no one gave attention to my out-stretched hand; 25
You were not controlled by my guiding, and would have nothing to do with my sharp words: 26 So in the day of your trouble I will be laughing; I will make sport of your fear; 27 When your fear comes on you like a storm, and your trouble like a rushing wind;
when pain and sorrow come on you. 28 Then I will give no answer to their cries; searching for me early, they will not see me: 29 For they were haters of knowledge, and did not give their hearts to the fear of the Lord: 30 They had no desire for my teaching,
and my words of protest were as nothing to them. 31 So the fruit of their way will be their food, and with the designs of their hearts they will be made full. 32 For the turning back of the simple from teaching will be the cause of their death, and the peace
of the foolish will be their destruction. 33 But whoever gives ear to me will take his rest safely, living in peace without fear of harm.
Another function of a peacemaker
in God's kingdom is to avoid strife. Strife is rooted in pride. Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turns away wrath: but harsh words stir up anger. 2 The tongue of the
wise uses knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools pours out foolishness.
I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that you walk worthy of the vocation by which you are called, 2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
3 Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Also we must heed the call of God to repent if
we desire to be brought into His peace. It is written of the stubborn and rebellious in Romans 2:5 But after your hardness and impenitent heart treasure up to yourself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation
of the righteous judgment of God; 6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and
honor and immortality, eternal life: 8 But to them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, 9 Tribulation
and anguish, on every soul of man that does evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; 10 But glory, honor, and peace, to every man that works good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile.
Jesus said in Mark 9:50 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltiness, with which will you season it? Have salt in yourselves,
and have peace one with another.
When the Lord was teaching me about love, He said the following He does not love us in the hope that we will change. He loves us because
it's His nature. Change happens when we are touched by the power of His nature. Salt does not have the intention of changing everything it touches.
It just does because it's salt. God says that there isn’t one person in all of creation that can resist the true Love nature of God. It’s what is inside them that holds
their souls in bondage that they neither can or will respond to Love. God says, I am never disappointed by man’s initial inability to receive My Love because I do not love with expectation. I love because that is My nature.
It is also the true nature of My children by default of being pulled out of Me.
Once My children learn to operate in their true natures, they will truly be the
salt of the earth. Everything they touch will change.” So one question remains: Is it our true nature (unconditional and sacrificial love) to stand in the
gap for those who’s true natures are being held in bondage by the enemy, come what may?
Christ is our example. He operated in His true nature (unconditional love) even to the point of death (come what may) without one single expectation. He did this because Love is who He is.
Let us ask the Lord to empower us through our personal cross to love like He does, no matter what.…
8. 10 Blessed are they who are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are you, when men shall revile you,
and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets who were before
you. 13 You are the salt of the earth: but if the salt has lost its savor, how shall it be salted? it is thereafter good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.14
You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a lamp, and put it under a bushel, but on a lamp stand; and it gives light unto all that are in the
house.16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. 17 Think not that I am come to destroy
the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.
verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and
shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I say unto you, That except your
righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
A kingdom walker will suffer persecution
because he dwells with God in an alien strange and foreign realm compare to the nominal Christian who are only saved by grace but demonstrate no further interest in the deeper things of God. 2Tim 3:12 Yes, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall
suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
For the Lord to work His positional righteousness into us
by the operation of the Holy Spirit and the power of the cross will cause suffering in our lives, even during seasonal trials, because many there be that will rise up against your life who do not understand the holy purposes of God in our lives as followers
We must allow God to work the obedience unto the death of self into us or else we cannot partake in the
glorious resurrection of new creation that He longs to bring forth.
Therefore the following admonition by the Spirit through the Apostle Peter in 1Pet 4:12 Beloved,
think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you, 13 But rejoice, inasmuch as you are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when His glory shall be revealed,(this is His likeness in you as
He brings you forth as a new creation) you may be glad also with exceeding joy.
14 If you be reproached for the name
of Christ, happy are you; for the spirit of glory and of God rests on you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. 15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's
matters. 16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. 17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not
the gospel of God? 18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? 19 Why let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as to a faithful Creator.
Understand this beloved child of God in line with what the Bible says in 1Cor 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. 32 But when we are judged, we are
chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
We must ask for the righteous judgment of God's Hebrews 12 correction upon our sinful lives to
bring forth the peaceable fruit of righteousness, which is Christ-likeness.
The righteous judgment of the Lord upon
His house is to bring men into agreement with Himself.
There is no other way to reveal Himself to a world in such desperate
need to see the revelation of a holy God in the people who call themselves by His name.
This is exactly what He meant
in Ezek 36:23 And I will sanctify My great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which you have profaned in the middle of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, said the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
