"maintain" - to continue or retain; keep in existence;
Latin: "manu" [hand] + "tenere" [hold] lit.
"to hold [or grasp] in one's hand" [in this case, heart, spirit, inner man];
"grasp" - to seize upon; hold firmly;
"true" - faithful to fact or reality, not false; genuine; faithful, loyal, steadfast; conforming to an existing standard type or pattern; exact;

consider and look not to the things that are seen [the lower reality - that which is real to the five physical senses] but to the things that are unseen [through faith in the
higher Reality of God's Word]; for the things that are visible are temporal (brief and fleeting) [subject to change], but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting [Eternal]"....
