If God is for me . . . who can be against me?

The Cross is by far more powerful . . .

Some People Believe

By Pieter Kirstein

Some people believe more in the ability of Satan and their flesh to cause them to sin than in God's ability to slay the sinner in them in the way of the cross, by the power of the cross.

20 years ago I saw Satan in a vision rising out of the horizon in the form a massive black bat, in the realm of the spirit and as I woke up from that vision, he stood in my room with his evil presence and declared, "I am stronger than your God, my kingdom will prevail”

Which kingdom was he referring to?

Where do we find the throne of Satan?

Roman 6

12  Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.

If we fail to believe that we're dealing with a defeated foe, then he will keep us in bondage. Where Satan can blind you, he can also bind you.

This is why the Father designed the way of the cross.

The cross is an instrument of death by which the Spirit crucifies everything in us that is not of God and everything that stands between us and Him.

It's a power administered by the Spirit by which our hearts and minds are circumcised to cut out that which is sensual, evil, fallen, earthy, lustful, depraved, unholy, carnal and devilish so that we might become sensitive lovers  -  Jer 4:4 Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, you men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest My fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

Jer 6:10 To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.

Colossians 2:11  In whom also you are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ.

Does Christ leave us broken, wounded, bound, distressed and frustrated in our prison houses, or does He set captives free?

Isaiah 61

 1  The spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD has anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

 2  To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

 3  To provide for them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

 4  And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.

 5  And foreigners shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.

 6  But you shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: you shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall you boast yourselves.

 7  Instead of your shame you shall have double; and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.

 8  For I the LORD love justice, I hate robbery with a burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

 9  And their descendants shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the descendants whom the LORD has blessed.

 10  I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

 11  For as the earth brings forth its bud, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

Romans 8

12  Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

 13  For if you live after the flesh, you shall die: but if you through the Spirit do put to death the deeds of the body, you shall live.

 14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

The only power made available to us by God to conquer the god of self is the love of God revealed in the cross of Christ through the call of self-denial.

 The god of self is Satan because he rules man through self-desire. The principle of satan is self-exaltation so when we humble ourselves through the denial of self we conquer and dethrone the god of self.

 How can Satan rule you when he looses the throne of SELF?

Self-exaltation through the indulgence of the pride of life, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes glorifies and enthrones Satan within the heart of man whereas the humility of self-denial liberates the heart and glorifies and enthrones the God of the cross.

this is so beautiful and such a testimony to the Lord's healing power and sanctification through our suffering. Much of my walk with Christ is similar to yours.
