OBEDIENCE A WEAPON OF VICTORY IN LIFE

"He that hath my commandments, and keepeth
them, he it is that loveth Me:.."
(John 14:21)
"He who knows my commands and obeys them is the one who loves Me..." (ICB)
God pours His love into the heart of a person
at new birth. We can only love God with His very love (agape) He poured into us. This love of God in one, is what gives a person the power to love God - to obey God. The love of God in one, enables the person to practice obedience towards God, and to be loving
and forgiving towards others.
WHAT IS OBEDIENCE?
It's doing what pleases God. It's walking in the light as God is light. It's walking in love towards God and towards others.
“The one who sent me is with me. I always do what pleases him. So he has not left me alone.” So Jesus said to the Jews who believed in him, “If you continue to accept and obey my teaching, you are really my followers.” (John
8:29, 31)
If you and I do not always do what pleases the Father, we are candidates of disobedience!
Those who walk in obedience please the Father. They are the ones with spiritual authority to walk on earth
in fulfillment, because they are true disciples of Jesus.
God demands that our obedience becomes complete:
"And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is
complete." (2 Corinthians 10:6)
A STRANGE PHENOMENON!
Satan is where he is today, because he is disobedience personified!
How then can a child of God who
practices disobedience, expect to command the enemy to obey him!
The devil is the father of disobedience, so any person who disobeys God, has made the devil his master! You can't bind him and rebuke him because it is illegal!
“In the past you were slaves to sin—sin controlled you. But thank God, you fully obeyed what you were taught. You were made free from sin, and now you are slaves to what is right.” (Romans 6:17-18)
To legally take charge over the enemy, you must be his master. And to be his master, you must be free from his control and manipulation. Only those who are obedient to God are free indeed from the enemy, and they can love/obey as God commands.
“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32)
“I will not talk with you much longer. The ruler of this world is coming. He has no power over me. But
the world must know that I love the Father. So I do exactly what the Father told me to do ..." (John 14:30-31)
DEFINITION OF FREEDOM
Freedom means, you are in command of life, and the enemy
and his agents are not in control of your life.
Freedom means you have made God your final authority, as you are obedient to the Word, because you have His love in your heart.
Allow God to
reveal this truth to you by His Spirit, and you will take pleasure in obeying God because truth makes you free.
JESUS is truth personified. Develop living like JESUS did and as He taught and demonstrated to us.
"Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;" (Ephesians 5:1)
If the Son makes you free by this truth revealed through His Word, you shall be free indeed.
When this light
enters your heart, you will receive strength to be obedient; and you will trust God for more grace to be totally obedient because that is His will for you.
This is the place God has reserved for his people to enter His rest.
To enter God's rest, is to cease from our labour by living a totally yielded life unto God, and our hearts become flooded with peace even in the midst of storms of life.
Satan is about to see; the world is about to see what
the Kingdom of God on earth is, when these true disciples of Jesus emerge.
And you are one amongst many. Praise God!
PRAYER
Father, I receive the grace to
live a life of obedience to you daily.
"For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. (I John 5:3)
I gladly enlist to be amongst those you are pleased
with, by my obedience to You, in Jesus' name. Amen!
