Philippians
1:19
And in this I rejoice. For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
Don't Suffer Alone
By
Cornerstone
Paul, the apostle and author of Philippians, wrote with such assurance in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He suffered great persecution, yet he rejoiced, knowing that God would deliver
and vindicate him. Paul asked believers to pray and counted on their prayers to move the hand of God on his behalf. What faith!
We would be wise to follow Paul’s example in the midst of our own suffering. We should not battle alone,
but call on the prayers of our sisters and brothers in Christ, who together, make up the body of Christ. The body of Christ is a powerful force to bring about God’s will on this earth. Don’t be a lone ranger! Link arms with other believers and
pray for each other! Together, we are stronger!
Here at Cornerstone, we believe in the power of prayer. Each Thursday at 12:45 pm/est, we host a live prayer gathering on our Cornerstone TV Facebook page. Many gather from all over the country
to support each other in prayer. We would love for you to join us! And if you ever need one-on-one prayer, our prayer line is always available: 888-665-4483.
Happy July! All this month we’ll be digging into the book of Philippians,
which is known as the New Testament letter of joy! The apostle Paul wrote this letter to thank the Philippians for the financial gift they had sent him, but he also used it to encourage a vigorous type of Christian living: self-humbling; pressing toward the
goal; lack of anxiety; and the ability to do all things (www.biblica.com). We have much to glean from Paul’s
letter. Thank you for digging in with us every day! If our e-devotionals have blessed you, please share them with a friend!
