REFLECTIONS OF THE FATHER'S HEART

By Glenn H. Jackson

[Exhortations From The Father]

*       The one who knows me and sees Me most clearly [with the eyes of their faith, spirit] is the one who loves Me most dearly.

...."He who has My commandments [gained a revelation of the Father's Will] and keeps [remembers, exalts, honors, magnifies, does] them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him ...."If anyone loves Me, he will keep [remember, exalt, honor, magnify, do] My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode [have living and ongoing communion] with him [in the "inner chamber"]".... John 14:21, 23 NASB

MEDITATIONS ON THE TRUE CHRISTIAN LIFE

By Glenn H. Jackson

______...."This book of the law [the Word of God] shall not depart from [always be in] your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful [take heed] to do according to all that is written in it; for THEN you will make your way prosperous, and THEN you will have success".... Joshua 1:8 NASB

THE PRAYER HABIT

[part 16 of 16]

____...."pray without ceasing [remain in constant communication with God]".... 1 Thessalonians 5:17 NASB

____ ...."all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you".... Mark 11:24 NASB

*____Fasting and long hours of prayer do not build faith.

____Reading books about faith, and about men of faith and their exploits stirs in the heart a deep passion for faith, but does not build faith.

____The Word alone is the source of faith.

____But the Word will not build faith unless it becomes a part of us. "If ye abide in me and my words have their place in you." That is, they have their place in our conduct.

____Jesus gave us the key. He said, "The words that I speak are not mine, but my Father's."

____And the works that He did were not His, but His Father's.

____Jesus acted on His Father's words.

____Jesus never needed faith. He had it unconsciously.

____Faith is built in us by the Word being built into us, by our acting upon it.

____It is "the Word of faith," and so as the Father builds that into us in our daily walk, faith becomes an unconscious asset.

____We come to realize that we are a part of Him as a branch is a part of the vine; that He is a part of us as the vine is a part of the branch; that we have His life, we have His ability, we have His love nature, we have His strength.

____That gives us an unconscious certainty as we go into His presence.

____We know that we are working together with Him to one common end.

____We know that He is the strength of our life.

____We know that He is our ability.

____We know that we are His righteousness in Christ.

____We know that He needs us to carry out His will, and so we are taking our place as a son carrying out His dream for man.

this is so beautiful and such a testimony to the Lord's healing power and sanctification through our suffering. Much of my walk with Christ is similar to yours.
