WHAT LOVE WILL DO

*____There is a master thought in 2 Cor. 5:14-15, "For the love of Christ constraineth me." Weymouth translates it, "For the love of Christ
____Someone had accused Paul of being "beside himself." He explains it on the ground that this new kind of Love has overwhelmed him, gained the ascendency in his life.
____Moffatt's translation, "For I am controlled by the love of Christ, convinced that as One has died for all, then all have died, and that he died for all in order to have the living live no longer for themselves but for him who died
and rose for them."
____When we learn the secret of this strange, new kind of love it will gain the mastery over us as it did with Paul. It will make us God-like lovers.
will no longer be any fear of man, for this love will cast out all that demoniacal fear. It will make us on the one hand as gentle as Jesus, and on the other hand it will make us conquerors.
what it means to have love abounding in all its fullness through us. It will illumine the knowledge we have gained from our study of the Word.
____"And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more
in knowledge and all discernment." Phil. 1:9.
____Then again in 1 Peter 4:8, "Above all things being fervent in your love among yourselves." The word "fervent" really means "white-heated," or "heated to the welding
____When love becomes white-heated the whole congregation will blend into one.
____The blacksmith heats the metal until it is white-heated. Then he puts the
two pieces together and they became welded together as one.
____Welded together in love! Wouldn't that make a beautiful Church, fitly framed and welded together, made after the design of the Father himself?
____You remember the Father gave Moses the design of the Tabernacle and the Holy of Holies. Now He has designed the Church, and He is going to weld it together into one "that ye may be one, even as the Father and I are one."
____They can only be welded together with this Jesus-kind of love.
____Col. 2:2, "That their hearts may be comforted, they being knit together in love, and unto all riches of
the full assurance of understanding."
____Do you see the wealth wrapped up in this? Hearts knit together in love. As love touches the mind and illuminates the spirit, the fullness of assurance fills your very
____How we have prayed for faith and power, but this eliminates all that useless struggling.
____We have the fullness and ability of God; the very sufficiency
of God is in us.
