If God is for me . . . who can be against me?

Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling . ..

What does it mean to work out and realize the full blessing and freedom of our salvation found in Christ?

Philippians 2:12-13

Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

It is revealed in the following verses and it's worked out in us by the Spirit of God as we grow up in Him in the setting of an intimate personal relationship.

Our journey into complete freedom and victory begins with the gift of salvation. Then we are called to be discipled and mature until everything in us that is contrary to God has been conquered, expelled and brought into submission to the supremacy of Christ, the head over every principality and power. He is the answer to every human imperfection, weakness, shortcoming and human failure.

Through the work of His cross, we are brought into right standing with God as members of the Father's family as we place our faith in Him. This is the meaning of 2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Then through the pruning and the discipleship and discipline that is worked into us, as we mature in Him, He causes us to produce the peaceful fruits of righteousness, which is CHRIST-LIKENESS.

Philippians 2:1-11

Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it a thing to be grasped (THROUGH HUMAN EFFORT) to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. (HE CAME TO MEET US IN THE PLACE OF HUMAN WEAKNESS AND BROKENNESS)

And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

His all-sufficient grace.

The Holy Spirit said the following to me about being saved by the grace of God, Self righteousness is what i am trying to do to make me right before God.

Grace is His victory and righteousness imparted to me. It is what He has done to make me right. Impartation of His righteousness into my life is the transformation work done by the Holy Spirit to make me more and more like Jesus from glory to glory.

I only need to come to Him in surrender, adoration and worship. Adoration + Surrender = obedience.

Grace through sanctification is His victory and righteousness worked out in our lives. Jesus overcame what i never could and in love gave His victory to me. Now as I walk with God this victory will progressively manifest in every area of my life until I am completely set free.

There is nothing about your own works that makes you righteous before God because if that is the case, the focus would be on you and the glory would go to you. It is only what God has wrought in you by His grace which enables you to do the right thing because He gets the glory for everything. Only God can accomplish your healing, deliverance, transformation and freedom.

You have no ability to do it your self so rest in the all sufficiency of His grace to raise you up and make you the person He created you to be.

Ask Him to draw you through His unconditional love into His presence. It is in His presence that everything happens. He is faithful to complete the good work He started in you. After all He is the Potter and we are the clay. How dependent is the lump of clay on the hand of the Potter to turn it into a useful vessel? He will complete you.

Nature testifies of His faithfulness. He makes all things beautiful in its time. We are the butterflies in the garden of God. Each one is unique.

When a person becomes a born-again child of God and he is being led to Christ then it is like when Jesus went and stood before the tomb of Lazurus. The dead hears the voice of the Son of God and he comes back to life. Sanctification is then when the grave clothes are being removed.

Jesus declared in Matt 10:32-33 Whoever therefore shall confess Me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whoever shall deny Me before men, him will I also deny before My Father which is in heaven.

So now we are born-again, we received the implantation of the incorruptible living seed. Isa 61:10-11 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. 11 For as the earth brings forth her bud, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

In this scripture the word of the Lord declares that He will cause the righteousness of His people to come to full fruition. Notice how a garden is used as explanation of our spiritual growth as we said earlier that we become the garden of the Lord, as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

Also in this verse of Isaiah 61 you will notice that it says, for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness

These are two very different pieces of clothing.

1. The garment of salvation

2. The robe of righteousness

The garment of salvation explains the gift of salvation that we receive from the Lord when we become His children through the new-birth. It is a gift and cannot be earned. As the scripture declares in Eph 2:8-9 For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

But now that we have become spiritual children of God we cannot stay in our unregenerate state of carnality. We must progress toward maturity. If we keep the explanation of our spiritual clothing simple you will understand it better and easier. I will share it the way the Holy Spirit revealed it to me.

Remember that we spoke about the fact that we enter a growing process in the Lord and it is much like the development of a plant. First the seed, then the germination process through the different development stages and seasons until the seed becomes a mature tree that brings forth the required fruit.

This fruit being brought forth are the carriers of more seeds and as those seeds are sown the law of multiplication explodes into a huge and majestic harvest and so-on.

When we are born into Gods spiritual family we receive the 30-fold righteousness of Christ imparted to us in the seed form (GARMENT OF SALVATION). Then later as we progress toward maturity we pass the 60-fold stage as His righteousness is worked out in our lives and into our lives through sanctification.

The ROBE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS is weaved by the Holy Spirit through the word of God into the very fibers of our beings as we apply it to our lives through our obedience according to Hebrews 4:12 that says,  For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

This is powerful because the Lord gave me a picture of a tailor. I saw the Lord as our personal tailor weaving our robes of righteousness as we walk in obedience to His word.

I saw how every time He builds more of Jesus into us unto perfect obedience and maturity, the Holy Spirit puts a thread of the truth into His needle and working it into the very fibers of our beings. To weave means to create a piece of cloth by interlacing strands of fabric.

This is why we read in Rom 13:14 But put you on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.

Also Rev 3:18 I counsel you to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that you may be rich; and white raiment, that you may be clothed, and that the shame of your nakedness do not appear;

This is the glory of the New Covenant gospel and the meaning of Hebrews 10:15-17,19-25 But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before, “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,” then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”

Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

this is so beautiful and such a testimony to the Lord's healing power and sanctification through our suffering. Much of my walk with Christ is similar to yours.
